Theoretical Orientation:
My approach to practice is strongly influenced by the needs, preferences, processing style, and goals of each individual seeking support.  I view counseling as a collaborative process and am invested in working with individuals to find the perspectives, ways of relating, and coping strategies that feel most helpful to them.  With this in mind, I tend to integrate multiple theoretical frameworks and modalities, with an emphasis on solution-focused, mindfulness, CBT, and anti-oppression orientations.

Professional Interests:
Over the past 17 years, I have worked in a number of different clinical settings, including several community-based organizations, employee assistance programs, and private practice venues.  I consider myself a generalist and have engaged with individuals dealing with a wide variety of issues across the life span.  My particular interests include working with persons experiencing post-trauma impacts, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relational issues.  I have been privileged over the course of my career to work with many diverse populations and enjoy cross-cultural practice.
