Robert W. Aaron joined the IUPUI Division of Student Affairs in July of 2007. As Director of Assessment and Planning he provides leadership for an environment in which assessment and planning activities are practiced for ongoing improvement in student affairs. He has primary responsibility for the assessment of co-curricular learning, managing the Division's strategic plan, and directing assessment and evaluation efforts among the various Student Life units.
Dr. Aaron also serves as adjunct assistant professor in the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) program at Indiana University. His research interests include developmental issues for entering and graduating students, assessment of learning in student affairs, and the use of technological innovations in teaching and learning.
Prior to joining the IUPUI staff Dr. Aaron served as Client Services Manager for the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), based at the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Research. Previously he worked for the Division of Student Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University with positions in new student orientation, fraternity and sorority life, and student activities.
