Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-known and effective method for treating depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, and psychological dis/stress. This 4-week CBT group provides an introduction to CBT and opportunities to practice and refine the coping skills in a way that meets you individual needs. The content includes:
Week 1 - Introduction to CBT, identifying limited thinking styles, implementing coping behaviors, thought monitoring
Week 2 - Identifying automatic thoughts, developing alternative thoughts, challenging limited thinking styles.
Week 3 - Getting to the underlying beliefs, challenging those beliefs.
Week 4 - Reinforcing healthy thoughts, building on success, managing lapses.
Register with the front-desk for the next available start date.
No pre-group meeting is necessary. However, you must complete the initial paperwork for CAPS' services prior to registration.
Meetings will occur on Fridays 11:00 am -12:00 pm.
