Fitness Opportunities at IUPUI

IUPUI students can take advantage of a variety options for getting fit and staying active. Whether it’s playing intramural sports, swimming at the world-renowned Natatorium, playing basketball or volleyball at the Campus Recreation Outdoor Facility, or working out on campus or at the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, there is something for everyone.

Campus Recreation offers student memberships for $15 each semester and provides access to swimming at the Natatorium, fitness classes, three weight and fitness rooms, recreational open gym, racquetball, the new Campus Recreation Outdoor Facility, and multiple intramural programs. In an effort to promote lifelong wellness and support academic success, IUPUI and Campus Recreation have partnered with the National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) to provide discounted fitness opportunities for IUPUI students. Monthly membership rates range from $25-$38 and there is no initiation fee to join. Members have full access to the NIFS facility, including the 200-Meter Rubberized Indoor Running/Walking Track, NBA Regulation-sized Basketball Court, fully-equipped weight room and athletic performance area. NIFS offers over 80 group fitness classes each month including Les Mills classes, Mat Pilates, Bootcamp, yoga, and more. For more information about NIFS, please call 317-274-3432 or visit nifs.org.
