Campus Statistics & Reports

Campus statistics on student health behaviors are obtained through anonymous self-report surveys, program evaluations, student conduct data, campus crime reports, and screening surveys for internal evaluation and assessment purposes. The following reports are made available to promote transparency, to guide program development, and to promote collaboration.

If you have questions about campus statistics or how to interpret the reports, please do not hesitate to contact Eric Teske, Assistant Director of Substance Abuse Prevention at erictesk@iupui.edu.

Indiana College Substance Use Survey (ICSUS) - The Indiana College Substance Use Survey is intended to provide meaningful data at both the campus and state levels, to understand substance use problems and develop effective plans for reducing substance use by college students. Administered via email to a stratified random sample of current IUPUI students every 3 years, the ICSUS takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes to complete.

CORE Alcohol and Drug Survey - The Core Alcohol and Drug Survey was developed to measure alcohol and other drug usage, attitudes, and perceptions among college students at two and four-year institutions. This survey instrument is no longer used at IUPUI, but historical data is still available.

ACHA National College Health Assessment (NCHA) - The American College Health Association National College Health Assessment is a nationally recognized survey that collects precise data about students’ health habits, behaviors, and perceptions. Administered via email to a stratified random sample of current IUPUI students, the NCHA takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

AlcoholEdu® Impact Reports - AlcoholEdu® for College is an online program designed to educate new IUPUI students on the impact of drinking as it relates to academic and personal success and help students practice safer decision making. EverFi, Inc. provides impact reports for each implementation of these third party courses, including self-report survey results and evaluation of learning outcomes.

EverFi Haven: Understanding Sexual Assault Impact Report - Haven is an online program designed to raise awareness about sexual assault, educate all students on issues related to interpersonal violence, and provide information and resources for intervening or to make a report. EverFi, Inc. provides impact reports for each implementation of these third party courses, including self-report survey results and evaluation of learning outcomes. Haven Plus is a version of Haven designed specifically for graduate and professional students.

Diagnostic Inventory Results - This Campus Alcohol Prevention Action Plan was produced by EverFi, Inc. based on the results of a diagnostic inventory, phone interviews, and on-campus visit to evaluate and provide feedback on the current state of alcohol and drug prevention efforts. Efforts were evaluated with a letter grade in the areas of institutionalization, critical processes, policies, and programming.
