    Alcohol: Personal Choices
    This presentation focuses on the effects of alcohol on the body, individual factors that influence intoxication, and strategies for low-risk drinking. This presentation emphasizes the point that the decision whether or not to drink is a personal choice that can only be made after weighing personal, legal, and social factors.

    Alcohol: Risk Management
    This presentation focuses on the risks vs. benefits of consuming alcohol, alcohol laws pertaining to individuals and organizations, and strategies to reduce the risk of negative consequences. This presentation includes social statistics about alcohol and substance use, and emphasizes the point that unnecessary risks can be avoided by drinking less, planning ahead, and looking out for each other.

  • Sexual Assault Prevention

    Building a Safer Community: Bystander Empowerment
    This interactive presentation will focus on raising awareness in order to recognize problem situations on campus and developing specific skills in order to intervene in a situation when another individual needs
    help.

    Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention: Let’s Talk about Consent, Baby!
    This interactive presentation will focus on increasing awareness regarding the meaning and impact of sexual assault on college campuses, as well as ways to understand and communicate consent in order to prevent unwanted sexual experiences.

  • Life Balance/Stress Management

    Life Balance and Stress Management
    This presentation focuses on the stresses of college, including the causes and symptoms of stress, as well as the potential negative effects. Most importantly, students will learn a variety of ways to manage stress so that they may individualize their own approach. The presentation will integrate the concepts of stress management, life balance, and healthy living. An explanation of CAPS' services and how counselors may be able to assist in managing stress will also be provided.

  • Healthy Lifestyles

    Making Healthy Choices
    This presentation will put a unique spin on the various health and wellness topics that students may face while in college. Some topics will include alcohol and drinking, sexual health, stress management techniques, sleep health, healthy eating, physical activity, and much more. This interactive presentation will focus on developing critical thinking skills and ways to incorporate behavior change.
