IUPUI is home to 20 recognized fraternities and sororities which fall under three governing councils.

    Founded in 1906 and chartered on the campus of IUPUI in 1992, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. The Sigma Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha is located in the Midwestern Region of the Fraternity and is the home chapter for students attending the following institutions: IUPUI, Butler University, Marian University, and University of Indianapolis.

    Founded in 1899 and chartered at IUPUI in January of 2012, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity has helped young men become better leaders and better citizens. Brotherhood is a lifetime commitment to living our core values: Culture, Harmony, and Friendship. Our intention is not merely to develop a strong fraternity, but in addition, to challenge our members to make a difference in their communities and their world.

    La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated was founded February 19, 1982 at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. The fraternity primarily seeks to take a leadership role in meeting the needs of the Latino community through academic achievement, cultural awareness, community service and promotion of the Latino culture and people.

    Founded in 1914 and chartered on the campus of IUPUI in 1995, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. works to promote brotherhood, scholarship and service through a motto of "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity." The Alpha Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma is located in the Great Lakes Region of the Fraternity and is the home chapter for students attending the following institutions: IUPUI, Butler University, DePauw University, University of Indianapolis, Marian University and Martin University.

    Phi Delta Theta was founded at Miami University  in Oxford, Ohio on December 26, 1848.  Since then, Phi Delta Theta has grown to over 190 chapters and colonies and has initiated over 250,000 men.  Phi Delta Theta at IUPUI established itself as a prestigious chapter on March 6, 2015, after a long lived colonization period.  Phi Delta Theta was founded on three cardinal principles: The cultivation of lifelong friendship, the acquirement of a high degree of mental culture, and the attainment of a high standard of morality.  To learn more, visit the website above, and reach out to the listed contact.

    FIJI was founded May 1, 1848 at Jefferson College, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Phi Gamma Delta exists to promote lifelong friendships, to reaffirm high ethical standards and values, and to foster personal development in the pursuit of excellence. Phi Gamma Delta is committed to provide opportunities for each brother to develop responsibility, leadership, scholarship, and social skills in order to become a fully contributing member of society.

    Founded in 1852 and chartered on the campus of IUPUI in 2009, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity strives to develop the individual in his intellect, in his involvement in the community, and in his faith. The Indiana Theta Chapter of Phi Kappa Psi is located in District III of the Fraternity and is the home chapter for students attending IUPUI.

    Founded in 1856, and chartered on the campus of IUPUI in 2008, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity promotes the highest standards of friendship, scholarship and service to all of its members. The brothers of the Iota-Pi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon strive to be True Gentlemen, and work towards academic, philanthropic, and professional success.  Iota-Pi is located in Province Psi and Kerr Region of The Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Fraternity.
