Ongoing Programs

We want to make sure that everyone who wants a voice, has a voice through their vote. We want to provide you with an understanding of how your vote works and how to register for the latest election.

Our team will provide support for registration efforts throughout campus at featured sponsored events throughout the year. Additionally, during election cycles, we will provide mock elections and watch parties.

#JagVote Mock Election

2016 was the inaugural year of the #JagVote Mock Election, the Leadership Development & Civic Engagement (LDCE) team co-sponsored with the Indiana Campus Compact through the Campus Election Engagement Project grant. The primary community partner was the Marion County Board of Elections, who provided the mock ballots, voting booths, and staff time.

Special thank you to our staff and volunteers from the IUPUI Office of Community Engagement, Indiana Disability Rights, The League of Women Voters, and the IUPUI Black Faculty and Staff Council providing voter registration and voter education services.

Our mock elections are meant to provide you with an understanding of not just the candidates on the national, state, and local level but what local and state issues you can vote upon each election cycle.

Watch Parties

During the latest election cycle, we provided watch parties for all presidential debates, vice-presidential debates, and inauguration day coverage.

We provide you a convenient space in the Campus Center TV Lounge with refreshments and additional information regarding the upcoming elections.
