New Student Organizations
Thank you for your interest in impacting the IUPUI community! Student organizations make up the fabric of our co-curricular experience here at IUPUI. For a current list of registered student organizations at IUPUI, please visit The Den and search "Organizations."
New student organizations provide us with exciting opportunities to grow as a community. If you are interested in forming a new student organization check out the following:
Prior to beginning this process, please log into The Den and check to ensure that there is no organization that mimics the intentions of your group. Per IU policies, a group may not duplicate the purpose and/or activities of an existing student organization (i.e. duplicate organizations are not allowed). Each individual organization must meet a need not already met on campus. This provision safeguards limited resources and encourages students to work cooperatively when their interests and intentions are similar. In the event that it is found that a student organization that has successfully registered duplicates the purpose and/or activities of a student organization that had already been in existence and registered, Student Activities has the discretion to deactivate the duplicate organization to ensure that limited resources are safeguarded, students work cooperatively when their interests and intentions are similar, and IU policy regarding duplicate organizations is abided to.
