New Student Organizations

New student organizations are highly encouraged at IUPUI! If you are unable to find that organization you are passionate about, start your own.

Prior to beginning this process, please log into The Den and check to ensure that there is no organization that mimics the intentions of your group. Per IU policies, a group may not duplicate the purpose and/or activities of an existing student organization (i.e. duplicate organizations are not allowed). Each individual organization must meet a need not already met on campus. This provision safeguards limited resources and encourages students to work cooperatively when their interests and intentions are similar.

Registration for all new student organizations takes place in The Den. Once you have logged into The Den, please complete the Application to Register a New Student Organization.

Please note that the new student organization registration process has changed for the 2017-2018 academic year. Starting fall 2017, groups interested in becoming a registered student organization will need to attend a consultation with a member of the CUBE Team (IUPUI's premier student organization resource team), submit an application, and attend the New Student Organization Registration Workshops.

Application Deadlines: applications to register a new student organization are due on 10/1 for fall semester. Applications to register a new student organization are due on 2/1 for spring semester. Student groups who submit an application after the deadline will automatically be considered the next semester.
