Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students supports IUPUI's educational mission and goals by working to maintain a campus community that is positive and educationally supportive. It does so by promoting and upholding the values of civility, personal integrity, and academic excellence and by providing services, advocacy, and crisis management for all students.
Departments reporting to the dean of students include Student Conduct, Student Involvement, Housing and Residence Life, and the Campus Center. Each of these departments, along with the rest of the Division of Student Affairs, offers a broad range of programs and services to promote a positive campus life experience for all students. The dean of students also supports and advises the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG).
In addition, the dean of students leads the Behavioral Consultation Team (BCT), a campus-wide team that provides consultation, makes recommendations for action, and coordinates campus resources in response to reports of disruptive or concerning behavior displayed by students, staff, or faculty. Please visit http://bct.iupui.edu for more information on how to make a referral and the resources available to help support the health, safety, and success of the IUPUI community.
If you find you don't know who to contact regarding a specific issue or problem, the dean of students or the student advocate is a good place to start. Please visit us in Suite 350 of the Campus Center and use this website to learn more about student rights and responsibilities, other university policies, the Office of Student Conduct, and the student advocate.
