Student Conduct

Student Rights

Indiana University and IUPUI recognize that all students have basic rights and freedoms afforded to them as citizens and members of the university community. Those rights are outlined in Part I: Student Rights of the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct. Those rights include:

Rights in the Pursuit of Education
Right to Freedom from Discrimination
Right to Freedom from Harassment
Right to Access Records and Facilities
Right to Freedom of Association, Expression, Advocacy, and Publication
Right to Contribute to University Governance
Right to Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities
Rights of Student in the Judicial Process
Rights of Students as University Employees

Students should contact the Office of the Dean of Students, the Office of Student Conduct, or the student advocate if they believe their rights as a student have been compromised.
