Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence

Policies and Procedures

IUPUI has clearly defined polices prohibiting sexual assault and relationship violence. The disciplinary process is designed to provide a prompt, fair, and impartial investigation and resolution process.

  • Indiana University Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct

The Code is Indiana University’s way of ensuring that the rights of students are protected and respected. This is accomplished through the encouragement of ethical, responsible appropriate and respectful participation in the IU community.

  • Indiana University Procedures for the Adjudication of Sexual Misconduct

The University provides a prompt and equitable procedure for the investigation and adjudication of all reports of sexual misconduct committed by students. The Office of Student Conduct administers these procedures on the IUPUI campus.

  • Policies and Procedures for Faculty and Staff

Sexual assault and relationship violence are considered forms of sexual harassment. The IUPUI Office of Equal Opportunity is responsible for implementation and enforcement of violations of the Indiana University Sexual Harassment policy. For specific University policies, see:
