John DeMarsilis is a person-centered clinician who strives to create a safe space in which to promote healing and change. He draws upon various theoretical approaches, and often implements components of cognitive-behavioral therapy, ACT, and mindfulness to individualize treatment. DeMarsilis considers himself a generalist who has experience working with anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life transitions. He also has a special interest in issues unique to the LGBTQ population.

DeMarsilis has worked in college counseling centers, providing direct care to students, since 2010. Prior to that, he gained experience in community mental health and private practice settings.
