Sarah Strandberg approaches her work with students from a holistic and trauma-informed framework that incorporates person-centered, interpersonal, and psychodynamic theories. She prioritizes the establishment of a safe, collaborative, and healing therapeutic relationship in which clients feel heard and understood. With all clients, Strandberg takes a developmental and strengths-based approach. She trained clinically as a generalist with a special emphasis on health psychology and trauma-informed care. Current areas of special interest include trauma work, group psychotherapy, concerns related to interpersonal and partner violence, multiculturalism/intersectionality, and identity development.
