Jose Magallon Maciel currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Conduct. In this role, he serves as a primary investigator and hearing officer for adjudication of allegations of personal misconduct and organizational misconduct. Magallon also supports the educational outreach efforts for the Office of Student Conduct and provides leadership to the University Hearing Commission.

Magallon joined the Division of Student Affairs in July 2015 as a Residence Coordinator with Housing and Residence Life. Throughout his time as a Residence Coordinator, Magallon’s responsibilities included supervising two graduate hall directors and indirectly supervising 18 resident assistants. During his time in housing, Jose also served for three years as a member of the University Hearing Commission and the Sexual Misconduct Hearing Panel.

Prior to joining the Division of Student Affairs at IUPUI, Magallon served as an assistant residence hall director at Ball State University.
