A. Sonia Ninon joined the Division of Student Affairs in January 2018. As director of assessment and planning, Ninon provides leadership for the Division’s assessment and planning and would like to further its efforts to make evidence-based decisions. She represents the division on a variety of campus committees, including the Program Review and Assessment Committee, the Advanced Practitioner and Campus Assessment Committee, and the Experiential and Applied Learning Record sub-committee. She also serves as the co-coordinator of the Student Affairs Programs and Services track at the Assessment Institute at IUPUI, the nation’s oldest and largest event focused on outcomes assessment in higher education.
Before coming to IUPUI, Ninon served as the assistant director of institutional research at Ivy Tech Community College (System Office) for four years. Ninon also held various positions in the department of Institutional Research at Ivy Tech Community College (System Office) from 2010 to 2013. Her areas of interest focused on student attrition, persistence, and graduation.
