Steve Baughman’s approach to counseling is to work with each client based on their unique situation and personal goals. His orientation is eclectic, integrating client-centered, object relations, and cognitive behavioral approaches. His clinical interests include depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, relationship and family of origin concerns, adjustment concerns, severe mental illness, and the connection between spirituality and mental health.

In addition to university counseling centers, Baughman has also worked in community mental health and residential settings with clients from college age through older adults.
