Make the most of college
Prepare for life
What's one thing that can help you stand out in your future career? Leadership experience. As a leader on campus, you can help IUPUI reach new heights through involvement in student organizations or on-campus jobs. Whether you’re making your voice heard through Undergraduate Student Government, becoming a team member in the Campus Center, or educating your peers as a Peer Health Educator, there are plenty of ways to leave your mark at IUPUI.
The fun starts here
You can have a blast at IUPUI, and how you have fun is up to you. We've got more than 500 student organizations that put on thousands of campus programs and events each year, including our four campus traditions. We go all out for Weeks of Welcome, Regatta, Jagathon, and Jagapalooza. And so do thousands of IUPUI students who attend those events each year. Weeks of Welcome is two weeks of programming at the beginning of each semester. Regatta is IUPUI's homecoming, with the main event being canoe races on the downtown canal. Jagathon is IUPUI's dance marathon—a full day's worth of fun and fundraising for the kids. And we end the year with Jagapalooza, a full carnival right on campus. You won't find campus traditions like this anywhere else.
Your well-being matters
No one feels 100 percent all of the time. So for those times when you don’t feel so great, or maybe you just need to talk things through with someone, the Division of Student Affairs has your back. We have counseling and mental health services available at CAPS and a variety of medical services available in our Campus Health clinic. We also have an entire office dedicated to services like health and wellness coaching, nutrition coaching, supporting students in recovery from drugs or alcohol, and providing awareness and education about the eight dimensions of wellness. If staying active is your goal, you can get a workout in between classes at our Jaguar Campus Recreation facility in the Campus Center. A membership gets you access to fitness classes, intramural sports, the NIFS facility, and more. All of these services are offered for free or at a low cost, meaning taking care of yourself is feasible and affordable.
The Jaguar family
We do everything we can to care for the whole student. That means providing advocacy and support services to help you meet your basic needs, assisting you through a crisis, connecting and supporting your parents and family members so they are better informed about the IUPUI experience, and providing resources for students who are parents themselves. IUPUI has so much to offer you wherever you are in your personal journey.
