Art is at its best when it’s on display for everyone to enjoy, sparks conversation, and helps develop a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity. Our commitment to helping you succeed at all of your endeavors means that we want you to exhibit your work at the Cultural Arts Gallery.
The Cultural Arts Gallery displays any medium, including paintings, photographs, drawings, and anything else you can put on a piece of paper or canvas. We also accept sculptures and other 3-D pieces. A projector is available for you to include video in your exhibit as well.

The Cultural Arts Gallery has a policy to protect our space and staff as well as you, the artist. Once you submit your request to display your work with us, we’ll meet with you to review our review our policy before we approve your exhibit. Here are some highlights:
- You must complete the exhibition information form three months prior to your exhibition date. This provides us with information about the logistics of exhibiting your artwork, as well as exhibition materials and special accommodations.
- Artwork is installed and de-installed the first weekend of the month. The Cultural Arts Gallery Campus Center curator will arrange dates and times with you.
- A small storage space is available for use prior to your exhibition. Indicate on your exhibition information form if you require storage.
- We have a permanent hanging system on three walls for you to display your two-dimensional works of art. This includes a one-inch-wide stainless-steel track permanently installed more than seven feet from the floor. We ask that all two-dimensional work be framed and ready to be installed upon arrival. This includes frames with wires that can be used with our hanging system. Our curator has the right to turn away work that does not have the proper hanging system. Holes may not be drilled and nails cannot be used on gallery walls, but we are happy to work with you to find other options to accommodate your exhibition needs. Contact us at cagcc@iupui.edu with questions.
- Pedestals and tables are available for 3-D works of art.
- The Cultural Arts Gallery does not provide exhibition insurance. By signing the policy agreement form, you acknowledge that damages incurred while art is on display in our galleries are at the full expense of the exhibiting party. However, the Cultural Arts Gallery has security cameras and is locked after hours to protect your work.
