Juliana Jalal serves as the coordinator for student organizations, a position she has held since August 2016. Jalal advises, assists, and supports over 500 registered student organizations in planning, developing, implementing, and assessing student activities and programs. She serves as the primary risk management facilitator for student organizations, working with IU General Counsel, Emergency Management, and other constituencies for event processing and waiver and facility use agreement creation and dissemination. Jalal also manages Campus Labs Engage online platform for over 525 portals and more than 8,000 student, faculty, and staff users. In addition, she acts as administrator of the CORE advisor education program and creates and implements supplemental resources and development opportunities for faculty and staff advisors to educate them and support their role with student organizations. Jalal coordinates the semi-annual student involvement fairs in the fall and spring semesters and assesses student learning resulting from participation in a wide array of student organization programs. She also advises the Student Development Funding Committee and supervises IUPUI’s student organization resources team, the CUBE Team.

Prior to joining the Division of Student Affairs, Jalal served as the graduate assistant for student organizations with the Office of Student Activities and Organizations as well as the graduate assistant of programming with the Office of International Affairs at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
