Biography

B.A., Anthropology, Missouri State University

Kate Sanford is the graduate assistant and Campus Center Cultural Arts Gallery curator, a position she has held since August 2017. As curator, Sanford manages the day-to-day operations of the Cultural Arts Gallery, including installing exhibits, marketing shows, implementing programming, collecting and evaluating statistics regarding gallery usage, and training gallery staff.

Prior to joining the Division of Student Affairs, Sanford has worked for many institutions including the Science Center and the History Museum on the Square, located in Missouri. Her most recent position was at the World Chess Hall of Fame, where she served as a gallery attendant and worked closely with the exhibits. Sanford has also presented her research on conservation concerning textiles at the Missouri Archaeological Society conference.
