Eric J. Teske joined the Division of Student Affairs in June 2013. As the assistant director of substance abuse prevention in the Office of Health and Wellness Promotion, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the campus’ alcohol and other drug education and prevention programs, which include primary prevention, risk reduction, and educational interventions (BASICS).

Teske is also a certified health and wellness coach through Real Balance, LLC, and oversees the collegiate recovery community (CRC) for addiction recovery support, where he works to expand opportunities for mutual aid peer groups, on-campus support meetings, access to recovery coaching, and local referral networks. Prior to his position at IUPUI, Eric worked in the Department of Recreation and Wellness at Bowling Green State University.
