Andrea K. Anderson joined the Division of Student Affairs in February 2008. As director of external affairs and special projects, Anderson provides leadership for the division’s communications, marketing, and development activities. In addition, she advances emerging initiatives that are of particular interest to the vice chancellor, including managing a graduate summer internship program and building campus pride and traditions at IUPUI. She represents the division on a variety of campus committees including the campus history committee, 50th Anniversary committees, and the Campus Campaign committee.

Prior to joining the Division of Student Affairs, Anderson served as the director of marketing and recruitment for the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI for five years. Before coming to IUPUI in 2002, she worked for Theta Chi Fraternity Headquarters, and held positions in fraternity and sorority life at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Bowling Green State University, and Adrian College. Prior to graduate school, she was a traveling chapter consultant for her sorority, Phi Mu Fraternity. Anderson has served as a Phi Mu volunteer at the local, area, and national levels for more than 15 years and currently serves as a vice president on its National Council.
