Volunteer at Paw’s Pantry

Help combat food insecurity in the IUPUI community

Did you know Paw’s Pantry’s daily operations are run by students like you? It’s true.

Founded in 2013, the food pantry is dedicated to helping relieve food insecurity inside the IUPUI community. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to shop once a week using a limit system.

It’s open three days a week—Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (students only) and Thursday from noon until 6 p.m. (all IUPUI community members welcome).

We could really use your help to keep it going.

Volunteer your time

Because Paw’s Pantry operations rely heavily on student volunteers, we need your help to make sure everyone who needs our services in the IUPUI community has the opportunity to shop with us.

We are always looking for reliable, dedicated volunteers to work with us. As a volunteer, you can either work the check-in and check-out table during operating hours or collect donations from the orange Paw’s Pantry food crates around campus.

All we ask is that you sign up for a minimum of 10 hours (five two-hour shifts) over the course of the semester and that you don’t sign up for a shift that you can’t complete.

And don’t worry—when you show up for your first shift, we’ll make sure a lead volunteer is there to show you the ropes.
