What’s one class/internship/course that prepared you for your job at IUPUI?
I would say my graduate assistantship prepared me the most for my job at IUPUI. Within my graduate assistantship at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, I had oversight over our Warhawk Connection Center which contained our Multicultural space and student organization offices, somewhat similar to The CUBE space. I had the opportunity to work with many different organizations, implement diversity programming and supervise five interns. That position helped me learn valuable advising skills that I still use today when working with student government, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and student activities.

You came to IUPUI from Wisconsin. What's the best food up there?

Honestly, that's tough to answer. Coming from Milwaukee, it’s definitely different compared to the rest of Wisconsin. But if anyone is visiting Milwaukee, I will always suggest Oakland Gyros and Uppayard Jamaican restaurant. Beer cheese is always good as well.

If you could recommend three TV shows to watch what would they be?

The three television shows I would recommend would be Umbrella Academy, SnowFall and Watchmen.

What's the most rewarding part of the job?

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing students succeed and achieve in every aspect of student leadership and involvement.

You oversee and advise a lot of organizations on campus. What's your advice for time management?

The best advice I can give for time management would be to use Outlook, be patient and calm, and to really take into consideration students' needs versus their wants. Each organization I advise has different needs, so I usually plan accordingly and add time in for unplanned activities or emergencies.

What's the best event you have ever attended?

I love Wisconsin Badger football games and UW-Whitewater Warhawk Homecoming, but the best event I attended would have to be the Wiz Khalifa concert at Summerfest.
