Get To Know: Leesa Foley, Family Nurse Practitioner

Leesa Foley joined IUPUI Campus Health in July 2016. In her current role as family nurse practitioner, Foley provides health care to IUPUI students at both the Campus Center and Coleman Hall. She treats concerns ranging from acute care to chronic disease management. She also provides preventative care and has a special interest in reproductive health. Get to know her in this Q&A.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Boston. I enjoy the coastal atmosphere, history and good food.

What is the best vacation you have ever taken?

Turks and Caicos.

What’s your favorite Disney movie?

The Little Mermaid.

Who in your life inspires you the most?

My mother. She has had some recent health issues and has really handled them with such grace and strength. 

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Ice cream, donuts or cupcakes -- it’s a tie.

What is your favorite thing to do when you get home from work?

See my kiddos -- then a little Netflix with my husband after they go to bed.

What’s your favorite season?

Fall. I love football, cider, yummy candles and -- of course -- PSL (pumpkin spice lattes).
