On vacation, are you relaxing by the pool or going on adventures?

I like to relax by the pool with a good book throughout the day, but I'm an adventurer at night type of person, so a combination of the two.

Are you a superstitious person?

Yes and no. My gut tells me that I should be superstitious, but I think that I am only superstitious when it's convenient for me. For example, it's bad luck to open an umbrella inside. However, if it's pouring down rain outside and there is no awning on the building, then I will open my umbrella inside.

What are three words that describe you best?

Passionate. I do everything based on the passions that I have in life. I truly do not think that you can do anything to the very best of your ability if you are not passionate about it, so I tend to lean towards doing things in my life that I am passionate about – including my work here at IUPUI.

Resilient. I would say that no matter the obstacle in the way, I always try to find the positive and keep it moving forward, so there’s definitely some resiliency in that.

Organized. I try to be very organized in everything that I do whether that means working in an organized space where everything has a place, creating to-do lists to stay organized or creating new/adapting existing processes to be more organized.

Which music genre do you listen to the most?

Musical theater. A lot of my time is spent listening to a musical in the background throughout my day.

What’s your favorite thing you have at home?

My dogs or my book collection. I am a dog mom of two wonderful dogs. One is a Bernese Mountain Dog named Artemis and the other is an all-white Husky named Zeus. However, outside of my dogs, I would say that my book collection is very near and dear to my heart as I am an avid reader in my free time.

What’s your favorite place to eat on campus?

Simply Puur in the Campus Center. The fully loaded baked potatoes are simply the best!
