What's your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
If I had a Saturday to myself and no responsibilities, I would start the day with a morning run. Then I’d be super lazy – in the spirit of "recovering from my run" of course – and play an absurd amount of video games. I'd follow that up by getting food at Pearl Street or a Thai restaurant. If I could find a place to play pool in town, that would be great, though sadly the last I looked there weren't many. If I could even find one place with decent tables, I’d play pool for hours and completely lose track of time. To wrap up the day, I’d watch the Toronto Maple Leafs game that evening…and maybe play more games with friends online.
What is your favorite sport and why?
Without a doubt, hockey. I like that there's a good mix of speed, skill and physicality to it. There's a little bit of everything in the game for everyone. Now while I say that, let me be clear, the presentation of the game on TV from the U.S. side is terrible. You HAVE to watch the game from the Canadian broadcast teams. The U.S. broadcasts are sorely lacking in my opinion. You get a lot more insight into the game by watching the TSN broadcasts or Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday nights.
What is your favorite snack to eat?
Bread. Like those big loaves of bread from Panera are so good. I haven't done this in a while, but I should now that I'm thinking about it. I'd go in and get a couple of their big loaves of bread and just snack on them for like a week.
What's your favorite tv show of all time?
"Letterkenny." I don't watch a lot of TV, but this show really hooked me and it's absolutely hilarious.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
That's a tough one, though I think I'd say teleportation. The whole superhero thing aside, just being able to get from one place to another in an instant would save a lot of time from a practical standpoint. I see nothing but upsides to that superpower. What could be better than a power that lets you avoid long commutes and the TSA lines?
What's the weirdest thing on your bucket list?
I don’t know about weirdest, but I was about to go to my first Maple Leafs home game up in Toronto back in December, then COVID-19 restrictions put a stop to that. So hopefully either later this year, or next season in the wintertime, I’ll get up there to go to a game. I also really want to go skating with the family in Nathan Phillips Square.
