Emily Braught transitioned into the role of director of assessment and planning in July 2023. In this position, Braught provides her expertise and leadership skills within the design, implementation, and interpretation of the programs and other services for the Division of Student Affairs.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I love a lot of different aspects of my role, but one of my favorite things is when I get to spend one-on-one time with staff brainstorming ways to answer questions we have about the effectiveness of programs and services.
If you could only watch one TV series for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I rewatch "Gilmore Girls" all the time. Like all TV shows, it has flaws, but it was an important part of my teenage years and always feels like a warm hug.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
"I Don’t Want To Be" by Gavin DeGraw.
What are your hobbies outside of the office?
When I’m not working, I enjoy watching women’s sports, playing piano, taste-testing non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails, and hanging out with my cat Olive and my dog CJ. I also love going to yoga and listening to audio books.
