Program Name: Required Vaccinations
- Medical Services
All incoming IUPUI students are required to be immunization compliant. While it does not impact your current enrollment, you will not be allowed to register for subsequent semesters until you are compliant with the IU immunization requirements. Online-only students are exempt from the immunization policy.
It’s the law: Indiana law (IC 21-40-5) requires students on residential campuses to provide proof of their immunization status. Self-reported dates of immunization are not an acceptable form of documentation.
Students must provide dates of immunizations with medical documentation for the following diseases:
- Current Tdap vaccine (given within the past 10 years)
- 2 Varicella vaccines
- 2 MMR vaccines
- Meningitis ACWY vaccine
One of the most important things you can do to safeguard your health is stay current on your vaccinations. IUPUI Student Health offers the following immunizations on campus:
- Pertussis (whooping cough)
- Hepatitis A and B
- Chicken Pox (Varicella)
- Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
